1. Lunch socials
a. Moving to every other
month since people’s schedules are busy
b. No lunch social in
November because we have USAFA vs USMA football
c. Looking at mid December
for the next lunch social
d. Revive the speaker
socials with lunch
2. There is an All Academies Ball
between Christmas and New Year’s. This year the USMA
parents host. Heading it up is Mike Kolster (USNA 89).
USNA is correct. His kid goes to USMA. We’ll know more
from Mike. If you would like to contact Mike, you can send
him a message at
kolsterm@stratcom.mil.
3. Sports events in the vicinity in
the upcoming future.
a. Baseball:
9 April 2013 at UNO (Omaha)
and begins 1500
10 April 2013 at Creighton
(Omaha) and begins 1200
b. Track:
19 January 2013: Adidas
Classic at UNL (Lincoln) and begins 1100
26 – 27 April 2013: Drake
Relays at Drake (Des Moines IA) and is all day
c. Wrestling:
17 November 2012: Holiday
Inn Open at UNK (Kearney) and is all day

Old Business: No old business.
New Business:
1. Awards were received well by the
schools involved. Jeff Blank or Dave Webster will reimburse
Jacque Torson at the next Tuesday social for graciously
fronting the finances for all three awards.
2. Dave Webster to fill out the
paperwork to have Union Pacific help with donations.
3. Potential for a social gathering to
the Olympic swim trials to see Cadet Kim Davis (Class of
2015) swim in the 200 meter breast stroke. Olympic swim
trials are on 29 June 2012. Ed Yong will contact the
parents’ club and liaison officers to let them know if they
want to show up for support or bring potential candidates.
4. Joint social gathering with the USNA
grad group for Storm Chasers baseball at Werner Park on 22
June. Contact Ray Foran (rayforan@2000.usna.com).
Cost is $10.75 per ticket.
5. Potential to tour the Union Pacific
control center. Dave Webster is investigating the
possibility.
6. Potential for a NAOC tour in
conjunction with a speaker. This is just an idea and under
investigation by Jacque.
7. At this time Jacque is in contact
with the Ops AF people who will let her know about USAFA
cadets this summer. So far, there is no word on a first
group.
8. Jeff Blank transferring the
treasurer books over to David Webster. The completion on
the transfer is to happen after the lunch social on Tuesday,
22 May.
