 Your
BOD has been considering for the past 2 months what project, we as a chapter,
should support from a fundraising standpoint. As a result, we have chosen the
Center for Character & Leadership
Development (CCLD). The Indoor Training Facility is almost fully funded and
we decided a specific project would give us greater focus than the General Fund.
The CCLD is an impressive facility and our chapter can play a significant role
in making it a reality.
In addition, Max James has generously offered to
match the amount of funds we, as a chapter, raise for the CCLD. Thank you, Max!
Also,
in an effort to celebrate the holiday season, see each other before the end of
the year, and begin a modest fundraising effort, I would like to invite everyone
to our home for an Open House on Saturday, December 18th. Since it would
be our first fundraiser, I would request that everyone who attends donate $20
per person with 100% of the money raised going to the CCLD. I realize times are
difficult for some so everyone is welcome to attend whether you are able to donate
or not!
Since we are not an official non-profit organization, I will have
donation forms available for everyone to use/seal individually then I will send
them all to the AOG. That way, each person will get credit (and a tax write off)
for their donation. By the way, I, nor anyone in the chapter will know how much
an individual is donating. However, I have asked the AOG to track donations from
members of our chapter so the chapter can get fundraising credit for that portion
of the "Distinguished Chapter" status requirements.
For those
who would like to donate, please make your check payable to: The USAFA Endowment
Foundation. If you are unable to attend the open house but would still like to
participate in our fundraising effort, please send your check to me and I will
include it with our donations when I send them in. Any amount is appreciated and
thank you in advance for your generosity.
Everything will be provided so
please come and join us for a fun evening at our home on December 18th from 6-9pm
