Gone But Not Forgotten


WillisSm.jpg Captain Larry A. Willis, United States Air Force Academy Class of 1964, died of unknown causes on 3 May 2001.

Larry reported to the Academy from Winnemucca, NV. While at the Academy, he was a member of the 23rd Cadet Squadron, serving as cadet operations officer his firstclass year. He was also a member of the Ski Team.

Upon graduation, Larry was assigned to Undergraduate Pilot Training at Reese AFB, TX. From 1966 to summer 1969, he was a B-52 pilot at Wurtsmith AFB, MI. Larry separated from the Air Force on 30 August 1969. From autumn 1969 to early 1972, he was a marketing representative for Shell Oil Company in Burbank, CA. From 1972 to 1975, he was a sales representative for Cessna Aircraft Company in Wichita, KS. In 1975 and 1976, he was an owner/partner in Oasis Del Air in Trinidad, Bolivia. In 1977 and 1978, he was a marketing manager for Bendix Aviation International in New York, NY. From 1979 to 1986, he was Regional Manager for Bendix Latin America in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. From 1987 to 1995 he was the Latin American Director of Sales with Falcon Jet Corporation in Paramus, NJ. In 1995, he became President of WorldNet of Pennsylvania, with offices in Tannersville, PA.
