Ron's History

McCoySm.jpg Second Lieutenant Ronald V. McCoy, United States Air Force Academy Class of 1964, was killed on 3 March 1965 in a T-37 mid-air collision near Laughlin AFB, TX.

Bob reported to the Academy from Kellogg, ID. While at the Academy, Bob was a member of the 11th Cadet Squadron. While participating in the well-rounded education we all received, one of his favorite pastimes was weight lifting. He was always willing to help out a fellow classmate.

Upon graduation, Ron was assigned to Undergraduate Pilot Training at Laughlin AFB, TX. He was a student pilot at the time of the accident.
