Jeff's History
Born 1941 and raised in Rochester, New York. Moved to Brighton, a suburb of Rochester, in 1950. Father was an electrical contractor, mother a stay-at-home mom. Parents died in 1999-2000. One older sister, Bunny, now residing in New York City.
Attended Brighton High School, 1957-1959. Played varsity football, track and baseball. Worked delivering newspapers, as an apprentice electrician and as a delivery and counter sales guy at a local drug store. Interests included cars and drag racing.
University of Michigan, 1959-1960. Beyond freshman classes, interests were football, fraternity and ROTC.
U.S. Air Force Academy, 1960-1964. Senatorial appointment from New York. Dean's List four years. Completed Academy portion of Georgetown-Academy Cooperative Masters Degree Program in International Affairs, Awarded Fulbright Scholarship upon graduation.
University of Stockholm, Sweden, 1964-1965. Studied economics and international relations. Awarded graduate diploma. Non-service interests included racing sports and formula cars and skiing.
Undergraduate Pilot Training, Williams Air Force Base, Arizona , 1965-1966. Flew T-41, T-37 and T-38 aircraft. Met future wife, Gittan, while attending UPT. Married just prior to graduation.
Survival School, Fairchild Air Force Base, Spokane, Washington; F-4 Weapons Systems School, Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Tucson, Arizona; F-4 Replacement Training Unit, George Air Force Base, Victorville, California (Top Gun Pilot); Sea Survival School, Homestead Air Force Base, Homestead Florida; and Jungle Survival School, Clark Air Base, Philippines, 1966-1967. Continued interest in racing sports cars during assignment in California.
Pilot, 8 TFW, Ubon Air Base Thailand, 1967-1968. Flew combat missions in F-4 with 497 TFS and Forward Air Controller mission in 0-2 aircraft. Claimed one enemy aircraft destroyed in air-to-air combat.
Daughter, Karina, born in Sweden between tours at Ubon and Tan Son Nhut.

Route Pack V/VI Strike Force Plans Officer, Liaison Officer to U.S. Navy Carrier Task Force (CVN Kitty Hawk), Operations Directorate Representative to IG Incident Investigation Team (DaNang Air Base), Air Force Liaison to Army Special Operations Group.
C-141 Aircrew Training, Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, 1969. Assigned due temporary disqualification from ejection seat aircraft resulting from back injury sustained during previous combat tour.
Aircraft Commander, 63rd Military Airlift Wing, Norton Air Force Base, San Bernardino, California, 1969-1970. Flew channel cargo and passenger missions between the U.S. and South East Asia and occasional other airlift missions throughout the world. Purchased first home in San Bernardino. Continued off-duty interest in racing sports cars.
Air Staff Training Program, Tactical Division, Operations Directorate, Headquarters, U.S. Air Force, Pentagon, Washington DC, 1970-71. Action officer in first class of program. Principally assigned actions related to war in South East Asia. Also flew T-39 aircraft for pilot proficiency. Off duty interests included organization of Red River Valley Fighter Pilots Association.
31st Tactical Fighter Wing, Homestead Air Force Base, Florida, 1971-73. F-4 Aircraft Commander, Squadron Assistant Operations Officer, Wing Executive Officer and Chief, Executive Support Branch, Deployment Squadron Commander. Regularly flew F-4 training missions while assigned at one time or another to all three squadrons.
432rd Tactical Reconnaissance Wing, Udorn Air Base, Thailand, 1973, F-4 Aircraft Commander, Squadron Executive Officer. Flew combat missions in F-4 aircraft while on temporary duty with 308 TFS in South East Asia.

Headquarters, U.S. European Command, Stuttgart, Germany, 1974-1977. Chief Berlin Operations Branch and U.S. Liaison to international planning staff, Special Actions Officer for Middle East contingency planning and operations. Daughter, Annika, born while assigned EUCOM.
National War College, Ft. McNair, Washington, DC, 1977-1978. Son, Jonathan, born while a student at National War College. Purchased home near Mt. Vernon that was retained throughout rest of working lifetime.
F-4 Squadron Commander, 35TFS, 8TFW, Kunsan Air Base, Korea, 1978-1979. Maintained high degree of unit combat readiness during year-long accident-free flying assignment in remote environment.
Action Officer, Operations Division, Directorate of Operations, Joint Staff, Pentagon, Washington, DC, 1979-1980. Planned and oversaw contingency operations in Middle East and Persian Gulf. Frequent temporary duty in region during Iran hostage crisis.
Military Fellow and Department of Defense Representative, Council on Foreign Relations, New York City, New York, 1980-1981. Served on numerous high-level study groups. Planned and hosted visits by groups of senior officials to European Command, U.S. Navy at sea and U.S. Air Force Fighter Weapons Center. Had honor and privilege as commander of troops for Armed Forces Day Parade in New York City.
Deputy Commander for Operations, 39 Tactical Group, Incirlik Air Base, Turkey, 1981-1983. Oversaw training and contingency deployments by F-4, F-15, F-111, A-10, F-5 and EA6B aircraft units to Incirlik and other bases in region and training range activities at Konya Turkey. Flew regularly with deployed units and oversaw extensive construction of expanded facilities for contingency and wartime flying operations.
Headquarters, U.S. Air Forces in Europe, Ramstein Air Base, Germany, 1983-1985. Sequentially, Director of Operational Training, Director of Operational Plans, Director of Command & Control, Assistant Deputy Chief of Staff Operations and Director of Operations and Training. Maintained pilot proficiency by flying with various assigned units.
Vice Commander, 316 Air Division, Ramstein Air Base, Germany, 1985-1986. Host unit for Major Command headquarters and largest American community outside United States. Program Manager for conversion of 86TFW from F-4 to F-16 aircraft. Regularly flew with assigned units.
Chief, Middle East and Africa Division, Directorate of Plans, Joint Staff, Pentagon, 1987-1988. Supervised planning for various contingency operations and wartime plans. Several visits to area of responsibility.
Retired from Air Force in grade of colonel, 1988. In addition to aforementioned, completed following training and professional education by correspondence during other assignments, Squadron Officer School, Air Force Command and Staff College, Defense Intelligence School, Air War College, Industrial College of the Armed Forces, Army Special Forces Officer Course, Army Counterinsurgency Operations Course, Army Psychological Operations Course. During Air Force career, received various awards and decorations including three distinguished flying crosses and bronze star.
Vice President, Federal Systems Division, On-Line Software International, Ft Lee, New Jersey and Calverton, Maryland, 1988-1992. Managed division of publically held company. Responsible for sales to government customers of IBM mainframe systems software. Company purchased by Computer Associates, Inc.
Completed Masters of Business Administration Degree, Marymount University, 1991. Work on this was begun while on active duty.
President and Chief Operating Officer, Egret Technologies, Inc., Ukiah, California, 1993. Reorganized company resulting in elimination of my position.
Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, AWK Consulting Engineers, Inc., Turtle Creek, Pennsylvania and Alexandria, Virginia, 1993-1995. Oversaw operations for Small and Disadvantaged Business company performing geophysical, structural and environmental engineering associated principally with highway related construction and maintenance. Managed relations and business with federal government.
Chief Operating Officer, ICC Technologies, Inc., Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, 1995-1996. Managed development, production and sales of advanced technology, refrigerant-free air conditioning systems by this publically held company. Company merged with Engelhard Corporation.
President, Chief Executive Officer and Principal Owner, American Land Cycle, Inc., Chantilly, Virginia and Goose Creek Recycling, LLC, Leesburg, Virginia, 1997-1998. Organized and built companies recycling arboreal waste and producing landscaping products including mulches, soil additives and decorative materials. Sold interest in companies.
President, Chief Executive Officer and Owner, LeaseLinc, Inc., Alexandria, Virginia, 1998-2011. Third party equipment lessor and lease broker.
Intelli-Check, Inc, Woodbury, New York, 2000-2010. Sequentially, Company Director, Technology Committee Chair, Compensation Committee Chair, Governance Committee Chair, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Board of publically held company developing, producing and marketing electronic identity document verification/scanning devices. Merged company with Mobilisa, Inc. to form IntelliCheck-Mobilisa, Inc
In addition to aforementioned, spent brief periods of time managing, owning and/or selling other businesses – a limousine company, plumbing company and information security company.
Currently, retiring from business but active in numerous non-profit organizations working to prevent underage drinking and drunk driving (following death of college student son in 1997 while a passenger in a vehicle driven by another underage student who was alcohol-impaired).
Presently, Chairman, Fairfax County Oversight Committee on Drinking and Driving; President, Chairman of Board and Chief Executive Officer, Virginia College Parents, Inc (501c3); Director, Washington Regional Alcohol Program; Director, Fairfax County Unified Prevention Coalition; and Advisory Board Member, Security on Campus, Inc. .
Previously active in Mothers Against Drunk Driving as Director and Vice President, Northern Virginia Chapter; Director of Public Policy, MADD Virginia; and member, MADD National Board of Directors. Also previously, a Founding Member, Director and President of the Air Force Academy Society of Washington DC, Director of the Greater Washington DC Chapter of the American Technion Society and President, Southwood Civic Association.
Either currently or previously an active member of Alpha Epsilon Pi Fraternity, USAFA Alumni Association, River Rats, Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association, Society of American Military Engineers and National Association of Equipment Lease Brokers.
