Class Of 1964 USAF Academy

My History

Campbell Kidd

From graduation I was able with a flight waiver to go to UPT at Craig AFB in Selma Alabama where I enjoyed the T-37, the T-33, and romps in the cow pastures with my uncle who raised calves.

From UPT, using orders I already had prior to arriving, I went to Iowa State University on a National Science Foundation scholarship for an MS in Nuclear Engineering.

For my flying career, I took C-141 training at Tinker AFB in OK and assignments at Dover AFB and McGuire AFB with a year in the middle for C-7A flying out of Cam Ranh Bay RVN.

I separated at McGuire in 1971, spent a few years in Christian discipleship ministries with The Navigators starting at NAS Lakehurst and ending up at West Point. Then a stint at SUNY Binghamton for an MBA in MIS leading to 29 years with EDS, retiring in 2007 in Maryland.

My wife and I just moved from there to Lake Monticello in Palmyra VA to be closer to our grandkids.
