Bob's History


JamesRVSm.jpg Second Lieutenant Robert V. James, United States Air Force Academy Class of 1964, was killed on 3 March 1965 in a T-37 mid-air collision near Laughlin AFB, TX.

Bob reported to the Academy from the State of North Carolina. While at the Academy, Bob was a member of the 14th Cadet Squadron. Bob James had a great sense of humor. He was known to have participated in many "midnight" pranks concerning the AOG/Officer of the Day. Bob was well liked by his 14th Squadron classmates. He looked forward to being an AF pilot after graduation.

Upon graduation, Bob was assigned to Undergraduate Pilot Training at Laughlin AFB, TX. He was a student pilot at the time of the accident.
