Bill's History


bill.jpg Graduated, went to Pilot Training at Laredo. Stayed at Laredo as an Instructor.

Went to Luke for F-4 Training. Went To Phu Cat and Flew 118 Missions on the Trail In the F-4; Cambodia, Laos and other lovely places that I flew over at 900 Feet Per Second.

Went To Ramstein and Worked For General Creech In Europe. Checked Out In The F-16; Flew the F-15 Out of Luke AFB.

Was A Squadron Commander; A Group Commander; A Center Commander while the Air Force found a replacement for the Prior Center Commander that was nearly Killed in an auto Crash. Was the Director of Air Force Logistics as my last assignment.

Did the Air Force Retired Tour of the Beltway. Returned to New Mexico, and Retired. Got more $$ Than all the rest of my Jobs/Assignments.

Raised Two Boys, One who works for USAA, and the other is a Major In CSprings Working In Space Command. Flew the F-4; F16; F-11 ;And one sortie in the F-105 as the first and last mission; as the the RTU Folded.

I Have a Masters Degree From Northern Colorado - "Public Administration"

A Masters Degree From Georgetown U - "International Relations"

Now Live in New Mexico in a Village called Corrales. It lies directly under the path of the 500+ Baloons That fly during the Baloon Festival each Year. Can sleep six Classmates.


Gone But Not Forgotten


The Association of Graduates has recently learned of the death of BGen (Ret) William M. Douglass, CS-18 class of 1964. BGen Douglass passed away on 19 Sept 2014 in Corrales, NM after a battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.

A memorial service will be held on 18 Oct 2014 at 1100 hrs. at the Eagle Ranch Church; 9660 Eagle Ranch Rd, Suite 6; Albuquerque, NM 87114. Burial will be in the USAFA Cemetery on 9 Oct 2014 at 1000 hrs. He was cremated.

The family has suggested that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made in his memory to the Alzheimer's charity of the donor's choice.
