Gone But Not Forgotten


BolinSm.jpg Captain Charles G. Bolin, United States Air Force Academy Class of 1964, was killed on 27 June 1968 in an aircraft accident near Luke AFB, AZ. He was buried at the Air Force Academy Cemetery on 5 July 1968. Chuck came to the Academy from the State of Nebraska. While at the Academy, he was a member of the 5th Cadet Squadron.

Upon graduation, Chuck was assigned to Undergraduate Pilot Training at Reese AFB, TX. In 1966, he was assigned to Selfridge AFB, MI, where he was an F-106 pilot.

Captain Bolin was survived by his wife, Sammie, and one child, as well as his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Orville R. Bolin.
