"By the time you receive this you should have already received the AOG’s e-mail with the detailed Friday, 9/19, schedule. If not, go to reunions.usafagroups.org/class-of-1960 for details.
"Other essential information: Your name tags allowing entrance to the cadet area on Friday, will be held for you at the Drury Hotel’s Hospitality Suite 209 for pickup. The Hospitality Suite will be open from noon until 10 PM on Thursday, 9/18, and from after the dinner Friday at Marigold Restaurant until 10PM. For those not staying at the Drury, name tags will be available at the Drury’s front desk from Wednesday through Friday if you can’t make it to the hospitality suite.
"A virtual meeting with absent classmates is planned for Thursday, 9/18, from 5 PM to 6 PM (mdt) in the Hospitality Suite. Participation instructions will be sent to all classmates via e-mail prior to the reunion.
"The Class Memorial Ceremony will be held at the Southeast Asia Memorial Pavilion on the Heritage Trail next to the AOG building (Doolittle Hall) on Friday, 9/19, at 3:30 PM. We strongly encourage you to allow extra time to walk the trail prior to the ceremony as it has probably changed significantly since your last visit. Sufficient time is allotted to proceed from the ceremony to The Marigold for our 5:30 PM reservation.
"The Class Dinner at The Marigold (4605 Centennial Blvd., 719-599-4775) at 5:30 PM on Friday, will be individually ordered and billed. Dress is casual.
"The Class “Jurassic Park” tailgate--now hosted by the Class of 92 for our benefit--will be open at 2 PM, three hours prior to kickoff. A complete lunch/dinner plus extras, plus an open bar both before and after the game will be available. For those remaining with good memory function, The big white tailgate truck has died. We are in the same place (SE corner of the paved handicap lot directly in front of the stadium) but work out of an enclosed trailer funded by donations. Suggested contribution for tailgate expenses is $20 per person.
"The weather is expected to remain excellent (~70 & Dry), and the gathering stimulating and memorable. Don’t forget to bring a warm jacket for when the sun goes down. We look forward to seeing you!
