40 th REUNION COMMITTEE MEETING

Meeting Date: 15 April 2010

 

ATTENDEES: Gaw, Torreano, Dunbar, Davey, Rauschkolb, Emery, Mueller, Ganzler(AOG), Stan Wolpoff (merchandise vendor), numerous squadron reps on conference call

COMMITTEE REPORTS:

Merchandise (Torreano) - Mike is working with merchandise vendor next week to finalize 5-6 options.  Registration will include 2 etched coffee mugs.  All other items will be purchased on-line.

Tailgate (Gilles) - Saturday tailgate will be at main Athletic Department-sponsored tent.  Greg Gilles checking on setting up separate serving line for the class.

Pavilion - dirt being moved this week.  Contract cost-$863k.  Still need $350k for memorial benches and interior displays.

REGISTRATION DISCUSSION:

Finalized the registration costs:
            Wednesday-Thursday arrival              $250 per attendee
            Friday arrival                                      $195
            Saturday arrival                                  $120

Dave will work with Jennifer (AOG) next week to set up on-line registration forms, and links to hotel, Athletic Department, and Pavilion donation sites.  Registration should be open by 1 May.

FUTURE FOCUS :

            Communicating with family members of deceased classmates
            Communicating with non-graduate classmates(now called Friends of ’70)
            Encouraging Wednesday arrivals
            After open registration is available for about a month, we will gear up with Squadron Reps to contact unregistered classmates with known e-mail addresses and snail mail for others.
