An England Air Force Base pilot died near here Tuesday when his F-100 jet fighter airplane crashed during a routine training mission at the Camp Claiborne range. The camp is an abandon Army installation.

He was identified as First Lt. David W. Burns, 26, whose parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clay L. Burns, live in Yakima, Wash.  His wife, Mrs. Marcia Burns resides here. Lt. Burns, a 1960 graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy, was a member of the 614th Tactical Fighter Squadron at England.
